Use statistics are generally based on the fiscal year, July 1 -
June 30. AIP, Elsevier and Kluwer statistics are based on the calendar year.
Journal prices are also based on the calendar year. We realize that this is
confusing, but that's how things work.
The table below shows prices paid over the past several years and the number of uses recorded. In some cases, online use is available. In those cases, the number of full-text files (usually PDF) accessed is listed. More data on pricing and journal uses is available. If you would like to receive a copy of this Excel spreadsheet, please contact Kerry Kresse. Previous years' data is available for 2002, 2003 and 2004
Proposed Journal Cancellations for 2006: We have not
received an increase in our collection budget and so we must cancel
approximately 5% ($10,000), the projected price increase, for 2006. The
Physics Library
Committee (Balantekin (Chair), Hashimoto, Joynt, Pondrom, Kresse) proposed
cancelling the following journals for 2006.

Converting some subscriptions from print + online to
online-only
We will convert all of our Elsevier titles to online-only for 2006. Elsevier charges a 25% surcharge for print + online subscriptions. In addition, we will convert our subscription to the AIP Conference Proceedings to online-only. The following titles are affected:
